We are fortunate to be represented by extraordinary legal teams from Munger, Tolles & Olson and Democracy Forward. Our support on the Hill remains strong, although not nearly vocal enough. On Thursday, we submitted an appeal to our parent agency, USAGM. See it here. We await a response while considering next steps.

U.S. international media remain under assault. Some of our sister grantees have received inquiries about long-closed audits. 

The administration apparently plans to shutter U.S. international media by starving its components of resources — contrary to law and Congressional intent. We’ve furloughed nearly all employees to conserve cash. The Hill keeps telling us: Go down fighting.

We’re fighting to win. We insist on the release of Congressionally approved funds that will allow us to operate through the end of the fiscal year.
