Message from Jeff Gedmin

Dear Colleagues,

Thanks for your patience and support. Furloughs start tomorrow. We’ll all be back in full force in two weeks. 

Don’t go anywhere. By now the stakes are very high and this fight is far from over. Stick together. Help each other.

Messages of support keep pouring in. An editor in Berlin says “keep up the fight!” From across our region we hear — from kind competitors included — that “Alhurra cannot disappear.” 

A rabbi from New York writes this week: “Keep rolling — and tell the good people of MBN that I pray for them.” 

From Capitol Hill, a powerful figure — a Republican — comes the message, “Go down swinging!”

The young son of one of our colleagues is a determined and loyal volunteer. He’s taken it on himself to answer my critics in the comments section of the New York Post. 

This is not over. There’s purpose in your work. There’s meaning in this fight. 

It’s an honor of a life time to have you on my side.
